I am Jiang Wenhao, a junior student majoring in Global China Studies at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a prospective dual degree student in the School of Political Science and Economics of Waseda University in the coming academic year. I am doing UROP (Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program) supervised by James Lee and Bamboo Ren in the Research Group, and writing my Honor Thesis through the research.
My personal research interests include higher education in China, economic development and Buddhism in Chinese context. I’m currently inputting personal information of teaching and administrative staffs in Northeast Chinese universities in early PRC period, with the aim to better understand their migration behaviors as well as their geographic and family origins.
