I joined the Lee-Campbell Research Group in October 2022. I am a PhD student at Central China Normal University School of History and Culture. My current research focuses on the career mobility of officials and bureaucratic politics in the Qing Dynasty.

I am participating in Cameron Campbell’s project Disasters and Official Careers in the Qing Civil Service, 1830-1912. I hope to investigate the influence of natural disasters on officials’ career in 19th century China through quantitative analysis, so as to reveal the universal law of civil servants’ official career flow in Qing Dynasty.

I earned his MA in History at Central China Normal University. I wrote my MA thesis on living standards in rural Hubei in the 1950s, based on quantitative analysis of archived survey data.
